Fèlsina

Fèlsina comprises an overall area of some 500 hectares, of which little more than 90 are dedicated to vineyards, at elevations between 350 and 420 metres. The various vineyards in Fèlsina are characterized by a diversity of soils and microclimates, each unique in its qualities and particularities, and it is out of this extraordinary variety that Sangiovese di Fèlsina was born. Since 1993, Giovanni Poggiali has been managing the planting and re-planting of new vineyards, deepening research into Sangiovese, with the growing conviction of the family and its colleagues that terroir is more than just a geological state, it is a social construct.
